This is a bit pedantic, but there’s the occasional time where I’ve seen a movie or a series that’s really affected me. I think it speaks more to my own personal taste than anything else, but I also happen to think that good tv or movies should make use think or be really original, especially when we are in the golden age of content (not just television, as some others have deemed.)
I’ve found the great stories bend the mind, suspend your beliefs.
I’ve found this in this series called The OA on Netflix. It’s mind-bending to be sure, but it’s a really fun ride, literally. Good shows should take after the amusement rides we take at the various parks we’ve been to as kids and I suspect these two mediums will converge over time with VR and other home entertainment being more and more realistic.
